Daylilies, Waterlilies and Summer Flowers Macro Workshop

June 15, 2019

8:00 am – 1:00 pm

Join Roger Trentham for this one day macro (closeup) workshop where you will have the opportunity to learn macro (close-up) techniques such as focus stacking, composition, depth-of-field management, subject selection, natural and supplemental lighting and equipment selection.

Subjects such as waterlilies, various daylilies, and other Summer flowers will be available, as well as still life subjects such as mosses and lichens in a private setting. The private property is east of Gatlinburg just off US 321 in a heavily wooded forest with spring fed ponds.

Any level of photography experience from beginners to experienced nature photographers can benefit from this workshop and the subjects provided.

The workshop will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019 beginning at 8:00 a.m. (early mornings are much cooler and the flowers will be at their freshest) rain or shine. The workshop will conclude at 1:00 p.m.

The workshop fee is $95 and limited to six participants. Once full, there will be awaiting list established and the possibility of additional workshops added. Participants are encouraged to bring multiple lenses and equipment. On-site parking allows participants to easily retrieve equipment from their cars.

Come spend the morning learning to see and photograph the wonderful world of close-up photography in a relaxed, learning encouraged setting.

Meetup location and other details will be emailed to participants who pay the workshop fee.
